Global Wellness Day - This Saturday!

Living well is valuable to us all, and now there's a day to encourage and celebrate it.

Honouring our health has never been more important. Living well is almost the entire world’s shared dream, so let's support each other and take this day to honour our bodies. First celebrated in 2012, the core reasons for acknowledging this special day is:

  • To recognize the value of our lives
  • To pause and think, even if for just one day of the year
  • To be free from the stress of everyday city life and bad habits
  • To make peace with ourselves
  • To raise awareness about living well and increase motivation, not just for today, but for the remaining 364 days of the year

The Global Wellness Day's Manifest is super simple, but something we may not all achieve on a daily basis, so here's a little more information and a few tips for what we can all do, even if it's just for this day. After all, “One day can change your whole life".

Walk For An Hour

For positive mental health, walking’s a must. It releases feel-good endorphins and boosts your mood. Join me in Somerset on my retreat, where you can walk for acres! Click here to find out more.

Drink More Water

Considering our brain is made up of 90% water, it is understandable that when we're unknowingly dehydrated, we can be prone to headaches. I try & carry my water bottle around with me everyday, which helps whenever I might forget when I'm out.

Don't Use Plastic Bottles

Those of you who follow me on social, or watch my Youtube videos, will know I love to carry my own Swell water bottle around with me & my own coffee cup. Here are some more tips on avoiding plastic.

Eat Healthy Food

From the mind, the body and the bowl, what we fill our tummies with can make us feel amazing. My favourite meal at the moment is this peanut & apple granola dish at breakfast. What's yours? Use the hashtag #MindBodyBowl so I can see your foodie snaps.

Do A Good Deed

Do a good deed to break your prejudices, to make the world a better place to live. See how you will change your life by changing someone else’s. Have A Family Dinner With Loved Ones

Take some time out away from the digital noise today. Listen to one another without distractions. Try out this fun Poke bowl, that the whole family can get stuck into. 

Sleep at 10:00pm

Sleep is a critical process during which our body regulates everything and repairs and heals itself. See below for a video that guides you through a calming yoga practice, for a more restful sleep.
