Purple Smoothie Bowl

My first smoothie bowl of the spring - a sign of some morning sunshine and a chance to mix things up for the new season (I'm pretty sure I've eaten more porridge this winter than ever!). This bowl offers a protein powered start to your day, without compromising on refreshing fruity taste! The colour will vary with your spinach to berry ratio and can go a little sludgy but it's worth it for all the goodness of those leafy greens!

what you’ll need

(serves 1)

  • 2 handfuls of frozen spinach

  • 1 cup of frozen berries

  • 150ml of almond milk

  • 1 serving of vanilla protein powder

Serving suggestion - top with:

  • 2 teaspoons of nut butter

  • a handful of granola or seeds

what to do

Place the smoothie ingredients (start with 1/2 of the milk) in a high powered blender. Blend until smooth.

Add the remaining milk until you get your desired thickness.

Pour into a bowl and add ingredients - serve straight away!
