Smoothing Coffee Scrub
Last summer, I bought a branded coffee scrub to take with me on holiday. I am a firm believer in regular exfoliation, particularly when you're exposing your skin to sunlight, sweat, and suncreams which can all bundle together to block your pores and lead to spots, bumps and without moisturising, some dry or peeling patches of skin! I was lucky enough to take an impromptu trip a few weeks ago and was unable to get a new bag of my trusty coffees scrub to arrive in time so I decided to make my own. It is so simple, takes just a few minutes and leaves you with the softest, smoothest skin.
Ingredients (makes 1 small pot, enough of about 4 full body exfoliations)
30g of coffee granules
40g of pink Himalayan salt or epsom salts
3 tablespoons of coconut oil
Simply combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl and mix well. It helps if the coconut oil is in a liquid state. Then transfer to a glass container with an airtight seal.
To use, wash your skin in the shower with your regular body wash. Then take a small amount of scrub in your hands and apply in circular motions with your hands. Rinse well with water and towel dry as normal.
