Event: Fluent in Fitness
So this weekend was a super busy one (hence no Sunday post yesterday, sorry!). I arrived home at 6pm, having been up since half 5 and totally crashed out without touching my laptop to get this post out. I guess it is important to practice what I encourage everyone else to do in finding balance and taking time to step away from technology as often as possible. I took part in a really cool event yesterday morning called Fluent in Fitness - the first of a series run by Fitfluence, a new company aimed at making healthy living less daunting, especially if you are just starting out. The event sold out in advance and 60 people joined us at the RAD for a fun, active and educational start to a Sunday! The morning kicked off with a sweaty HIIT training session with the wonderful Emily Furey. Then the lovely Alice Liveing (Clean Eating Alice) got everyone's core muscles burning with an ab blast. It was then my turn to wind things down with a 40 minute yoga session where we had a playful start before taking things down on to the mat for a serious chill. By this point everyone was ready to refuel with a light lunch and some juice before heading back into the studio for a panel session. Alice, Em and I were asked to introduce our own fitness journeys and anything important we had learned along the way before opening up the discussion for a Q&A to answer lots of interesting questions about all things healthy.
The energy of 60 yogis in that room was so awesome and I loved every minute of it. I've definitely had a bit of a flavour for big classes now and its got me plotting and planning for other events this year.
In the mean time, there are going to another two Fluent in Fitness events due to popular demand and I will be there to meet you all and share whatever you want to know! Tickets are already on sale for the following two events:
Sun 21 February 2016 9:30 am - 12:30 pm The Urdang, The Old Finsbury Town Hall
