Book Tour Highlights

For those of you that made it along to one of my events over the last week or so, I am so hugely grateful to have shared space and time with you all. It is so wonderful to find new ways to connect with you guys and every event and group that it brings together is truly unique. For those of you that couldn't make it, or if you are interested in something coming up, then have a little look at what went down to get a little taste of the sort of things we got up to.

We kicked things off with two press events, a yoga breakfast and a drinks party on launch day at the Loft above the Lululemon store in Old Spitalfields market. My wonderful friends at the store lined the stairwells with candles and plants and I couldn't have felt more welcome and at home. Both events were great fun and it was so exciting to see people leave with copies of Mind Body Bowl in their hands. For breakfast I prepared an enormous batch of the Cinnamon Buckwheat Granola from my book, which we served with Coyo, Pip + Nut nut butters, Rude Health Milks, frozen berries and coconut chips! It was such a delicious feast! One of the team members from Cru Kafe came along to serve their delicious coffee (with biodegradable nespresso pods) which we served with the Rude Health milks (I am so into the hazlenut one with my coffee at the moment).

The evening was more drink than food related, although we made lots of humous and crudités for guests to snack on, as well as Love Corn and Well + Happy chocolates lining the room. Press juice helped us to design cocktails for the night, with Seedlip providing an alcohol-free alternative. My dad always told me that if you keep people happy with food an drink, you can be sure to have a good party. So I took his advice with the help of my lovely team and some awesome sponsors and I think we pulled it off!

We (thankfully) had a few days to reset ourselves before my Book Tour began... I was very ready for some rest and an opportunity to let the launch sink in!

The following week, Planet Organic hosted us for Friday morning's event. As part of their Love Local campaign, we took over the upstairs space for yoga and a breakfast to go made of some of the best local products stocked at the store. After a quick spin at Psycle on my way to the station, I headed to Alderley Edge for event number 2 of the day.

I arrived at The Yard and couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised by the space. It really was totally magical and I think they might have worried I would never leave. I teamed up with the lovely girls from Manchester based LoveRaw who connected me with Sadie and her family who run the space. We started with a candlelit yoga class in the magical space, followed by a Q&A, Then the Yard team cooked a three course meal from the book and transformed the yoga space into the most wonderful dining room. It felt so surreal to see people enjoying food from the book and we all left feeling well fed,  calm, happy and after an evening of lovely conversation.

In all my excitement and goodie bag planning,  I totally forgot to find myself somewhere to stay in Manchester between the two events! Luckily, King Street Town House came to my rescue and I managed to get a room last minute. Despite turning up at 11pm, I still managed to get a feel for the place and immediately felt at home. After swooning over the bathroom tiles, I finally climbed into bed to the sound of Classic FM (I think I might try that at home!) and had the best night's sleep in weeks. Having seen a photo of their infinity pool online, I decided I had to get up a little bit early to check it out before checking out! My alarm woke me at 7am and I went off to explore the spa area. Of course, being 7am on a Saturday, there wasn't anyone else in sight and after a quick dip in the pool I had a few minutes in the relaxation room where I moved through some free flow yoga which felt awesome. After a quick porridge stop downstairs, I headed off to the morning's event.

We were hosted by Australasia Terrace and after a morning yoga class, we served up a breakfast of granola, coconut yoghurt, LoveRaw blends and drinks, Pip & Nut butter and fresh berries. We had a lovely morning chatting about all things wellbeing before I headed off to catch my train. I couldn't resist a stop in at Waterstones Deansgate, where I saw Mind Body Bowl as a recommended title, and signed some copies for them to sell in store!

The final stop of the book tour was appropriately in a book store - Waterstones Tottenham Court Road to be precise. We started our Sunday morning with a yoga class with the smell of books in the air. With smoothies and teas served at the gorgeous coffee counter (well worth a visit!) it really was a great way to begin the day.

I had some special guests at the last event - 5 of my best friends from school.  So after posing for a quick photo with books in  hand, we all headed off to enjoy some brunch and catch up like old times.

I couldn't be more grateful to everyone who supported the launch events, guests, friends, family and sponsors. Thank you all so much! And if you missed out on a ticket/goodie bag, then have a look below to see who was involved and try out their products yourself!

A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE WONDERFUL SPONSORS WHO HELPED TO MAKE THE LAST TWO WEEKS SUCH A SUCCESS!
