Review: Wild Beets - Ibiza

IMG_4601Wild Beets is an organic, plant-based restaurant and juice bar in the Santa Gertrudis e Fruitera area in Ibiza. During my trip to the island this week, I decided to pay this healthy hot spot a visit after a few raving reviews from friends. We ordered a juice - something green for me and a luminiser for Will, which they said would help him tan more, which is something he really doesn't need any help with here in the glorious sunshine, and got excited reading through the lengthy menu of delicious sounding treats.

We ordered the raw beetroot ravioli, filled with lemon cashew cheese filling, and the special dish of the day which was a cannelloni dish - with thin avocado slices wrapped around a wonderfully creamy filling. We couldn't pass up on the kale salad, and feasted on the raw lasagna and the macro bowl . Everything was really light, and so full of flavour - we really weren't disappointed. My favourite was the cannelloni, which looked and tasted absolutely amazing. If it is there on the menu if and when you visit, the cannelloni gets the top marks...until desert. We were presented with a list of about 10 different flavoured cheesecakes and opted for the coffee and the mango ones. The mango was the winner, but it was a close competition for sure!

It seems you really can't go wrong with the menu here. And I am already planning my next trip back to try more of the menu - once my three courses have gone down!

It really is so exciting to travel and find all these wonderful healthy spots. Travelling used to make me nervous, because I always worried about what the food would be like but it is getting easier and easier, and more and more delicious!IMG_4625
