The Importance of Taking a Break

We all have high expectations of ourselves, and sometimes we can forget to take a break. By ‘take a break’, I mean a break from anything - from work, from routine, from life in general. It’s so important to clear our minds from time to time. For some this is done by meditating. However, a lot of people find meditation difficult to achieve without getting fidgety or frustrated. Finding a way to switch off that allows you to really remove yourself from the feeling of responsibility for just a few minutes even can be enough to totally reset yourself. Looking at your diary for next week, see where you can schedule time to really switch off and commit to it fully, knowing that the only thing that matters at that time is you. Take a bath, go for a walk, do some yoga, watch TV, drink tea, meditate, or do whatever really helps you to break away from reality.
